ジョージワシントン大学 (The George Washington University 略 GWU) はコロンビアン・カレッジ (The Columbian College) として1821年設立されたアメリカ合衆国ワシントンD.C.にある私立大学である。

「首都に一般市民が広く学べる大学を作りたい」というジョージ・ワシントンの遺志を継ぎ、1821年、アメリカ連邦議会の認可に基づき設立された。国務省やIMF、世界銀行と隣接していることから、法学・政治学・外交政策・公共政策の研究が盛ん。コリン・パウエル元国務長官やジョン・フォスター・ダレス元国務長官、ケネディ大統領夫人(ジャクリーン・ケネディ)などがこの大学で学んだ。
